Welcome to Fidelius - a Harry Potter RPG!

The Story
Fidelius takes place in 1997-98, placing Harry & Co. in their seventh year at Hogwarts. The war against Voldemort is at its height; the Ministry is in shambles, many families have been killed, and people are fleeing to Hogwarts for sanctuary and protection. Enter Fidelius - an RPG centering around the war and its effects on those in the Wizarding community.

        1) You must provide your own LJ code and create a journal for your Character. This cannot be your personal journal – all entries must be for your Character. We are organizing a network for code distribution, but this is still in the works.

        2) You must be 13 years of age or older to participate

        3) You must update regularly (minimum of two times per week) and play your part in the universe (i.e. interaction with other characters [romances, feuds, parties, etc.])

        4) Your characters can fight all they wish, but do not get into personal fights with other players. Civility is a must.

        5) If posting out of Character, or commenting out of character to a Character's post, you MUST note that you are doing so by placing "OOC" before your post/comment/etc.

        6) Once a member, follow the regulations listed on the Fidelius site.

We are in need of main character players, obviously, but you may audition for the role of any of the students listed here, teachers listed here, or really any other canon-evidenced character (i.e. Rita Skeeter, Ludo Bagman, Petunia Dursley, etc.)

To audition, send us the following information:

    Personal (information about YOU)
  • Your Name
  • Email address
  • AIM/YM username
  • Current LJ username
  • Your date of birth (DOB)

Character (information about the character you wish to play)
  • Character Name
  • LJ username (do not create the journal until you have been accepted; just provide us with the name you plan to use)
  • Character Profession (i.e.Student, Teacher, Ministry Aide, etc.)
  • Character DOB (if the character is a student, this must coincide with their school year)
  • Year at Hogwarts (if applicable)
  • Character Personality
  • Character Description
  • Your plans/ideas for the character's involvement in Fidelius

Send the above information to fidelius@rainfallen.nu along with a sample entry for the character you wish to play. The entry must be at least 100 words/300 characters. Preferably more, but we will take what we can get.

If you are accepted, we will email you within 1-2 weeks. Further instructions will be given to you at that time.

If you are not accepted, you will most likely not receive a response. Due to the number of applications we receive, it would be little more than a form letter...and who wants one of those?

Please keep in mind that while we are not "elitist", we now have very high standards regarding who we will accept into the RPG. This is due in part to some very OOC characters and ridiculously melodramatic situations that have been encountered in the past, and also to the fact that we want to keep the writing and plot quality as high as possible. Please do not be offended if you are not accepted. It does not automatically mean that we think you, your writing, or your character are substandard. It is generally because we cannot see your character developing into a working role in the community at this time. Feel free to try again at a later date. And, if you are desperate for specifics on why you were not accepted, email us and we'll do our best to explain.

If you have any questions that were not addressed here, email us at fidelius@rainfallen.nu.
